CAT - Calling All Talent! CBO announces region’s first online and live talent search.
Minneapolis, MN (October 26th, 2006)

CBO (Casablanca Orchestra) and MJM PRO, Inc. will be holding this region’s first online and live talent search, Thursday, November 2nd 2006 at Bogart’s Place in Apple Valley, MN. The innovative, high tech pursuit has been titled, CAT (Calling All Talent). All applicants were encouraged to enroll online at the band’s website, www.CBOMusic.com. The current position is for keyboard/vocalist.

The initial application process was very traditional; collecting resumes, references, photos, and a performance sample to select the field of auditioning artists. From there, the CAT competition has been like no other hiring process. Initial screenings and auditions were held privately, with cameras and tape rolling. CBO posted an edited version of this first audition online for the public to view.

With the CAT finalists chosen by CBO, the next and final round of competition is a fully produced live concert before an audience and a panel of Metro Celebrity Judges: (subject to change)
Dick Whitbeck: Music Producer, Composer, Arranger, Conductor, and Trumpet Player - Synergy
Mick Sterling: Vocals, Composer, Writer, Producer, Founder – Mick Sterling and the Stud Brothers
Joe Schmit: Former KSTP-TV Sports and News Anchor
Deborah Lysholm: Dancer, Choreographer, and Producer Owner/Director - Heartbeat Studios in Apple Valley, MN
Brian Leighton: Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, Founder – GB Leighton
Rich Farris: Keyboardist; CEO - CustomFit Computer, Inc.
Steve Daly: Lead Guitar and Vocals - High & Mighty

This live show will be recorded and the public will again be able to watch the contestants’ performances on CBOMusic.com. This time however, the finalists will each have their own demo, and online voting will begin Monday, November 6th and run through Friday, November 17th 2006. The Metro Celebrity Judges and online votes will be tallied, but not disclosed until the actual winner is announced at the Big Reveal of CBO’s CAT, which will be held, Sunday, December 31st at Bogart’s Place, Apple Valley, MN. 952-432-1515.

Although CBO will have the final say when it comes to its new CAT, the band wants to consider the public’s opinion as well as the judges’ expertise.

There will be a $5 minimum donation collected at the door. 100% of the gate will go to benefit Big Brother Big Sister of the Twin Cities.

Ricci Milan: Tap, Hip-Hop performance artist
