Celebrate the Grand Re-opening of the Detroit Lakes Pavilion with CBO!!

The historic DL Pavilion is newly renovated and ready for dancing! Friday, June 2 at 8:00 pm, The World’s Most Outrageous Party Band, CBO, takes the stage and lights up the beautiful new wooden dance floor with their high energy music. Based in Minneapolis, the Casablanca Orchestra (CBO) is the hottest touring showband in the Midwest. They captivate audiences with their unique fusion of show and music. Capturing the essence of the times and the history of the Pavilion, CBO will take you from the swinging 40's to the disco ‘70s to the current top 40. Musically, these gifted players and singers fill the dance floor, bringing to life the free-souled dancing maniac in all of us. In addition, their energetic choreography and changing wardrobe takes you back to the times when you thought it just couldn't get any groovier. CBO has toured regionally and nationally for over ten years and has developed a magical chemistry that you must see and hear. CBO consists of seven fabulous vocalists, two keyboardists, guitar, bass, drums, and a three-piece horn section, giving you a spectrum of groove from a big-band sound to small raw combos.

The DL Pavilion was opened in 1915 and hosted many big name bands and dances. Just a few of these include the Unbelievable Uglies, Roy Orbison, Al Gillespie, the Jack Mills’ Orchestra and many others.

In 2005 a group of citizens joined forces to raise money and renovate the building. The grand re-opening celebration on Friday, June 2 will showcase the renovation including a beautifully restored new ceiling, enhanced stage and restroom area, fresh paint and of course, the incredible new dance floor. Come on out for a night of great dancing and ring in the new era of the Pavilion! Then stay for the Street Faire June 2 & 3.
